In today's update, the accumulative
statistics as at end of Monday, 4 July, are as follows:

808 tests done yesterday (Mon, 4 July)

10 cases admitted to the hospital Acute Care Unit with an
additional 3 carers

treatment

§ others have mild or no
COVID symptoms
§ All patients are closely
monitored.

Twenty-four per cent or
approximately one in four results of yesterday's testing were
positive. Overall tests done this outbreak reported 34 per cent as
positive results.
The outbreak of COVID is being
monitored and the public is urged to get tested and register
results - both positive and negative.
Forty children aged 5-11 years
received their first dose yesterday, taking the total to 722.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring in their children to
get vaccinated.

wear a mask, sanitise and keep your distance
New rules will be introduced
tomorrow including on-the-spot fines against individuals walking
around for non-essential reasons, not wearing a mask, and
gatherings of more than three.
Maximum penalties of up to $10,000
will also be imposed for non-compliance.
There have been many reports of
people walking around without masks and leaving home isolation for
non-essential reasons.
Omicron is very contagious and is
circulating fast in the community. We must work together to
minimise the spread and to protect our vulnerable.
The public is urged to get tested
and register results. Drive-through testing stations are always
open. If you are unable to reach these testing sites please call
191 for home testing.
