Bulk carrier loads 27k MT phosphate
State-owned phosphate company
RONPHOS has begun operations with the first successful loading of a
phosphate shipment onto the bulk carrier vessel HTK Confidence.
The vessel docked in Nauru between
7 to 13 April to take on its cargo.
Despite some rainy weather, the
loading process was completed efficiently within six days,
according to manager Renando Enos.
A total of 27,450 metric tonnes of
phosphate were loaded onto the ship in multiple stages, with the
initial batch itself weighing in at over 6,000 metric tonnes.
Authorities have confirmed that
another bulk carrier is expected to arrive in early May to collect
additional phosphate shipments.
The exact date and any specific
details about the next vessel have not yet been announced.
