NPF completes UK international leaders training program
Nauru Police Force (NPF)
Superintendent Czarist Daniel and Inspector Ruman Reweru completed
an intensive four-week training program on International Leadership
at the College of Policing in England and Wales from 22 April to 17
May.
The International Leadership
training program is designed to significantly enhance the
leadership and management skills of Nauru police leaders.
NPF Deputy Commissioner Simpson
Deidenang said that by improving the leaders' "ability to make
quality decisions and adopt a more strategic approach, the program
will indirectly benefit the community through a more effective
policing work".
"I would like to extend my
heartfelt congratulations to the two officers on their
achievement," Mr Deidenang said
"As part of the leadership group
within the Nauru police, it's imperative that they mentor and
impart knowledge and skills to their junior officers, who are the
future leaders of our force."
On behalf of the NPF, the Deputy
Commissioner thanked the government of the United Kingdom (UK) and
the College of Policing for their support in hosting the training
program.
He highlights that this is the
second time, after more than a decade, that NPF officers are sent
to the UK to participate in this particular program.
Mr Deidenang also acknowledged the
NPF Commissioner of Police Iven Notte and the executive officers
for their efforts in preparation and laying the groundwork for the
successful resumption of this training program.
Superintendent Danial and Inspector
Reweru returned from the United Kingdoms on 23 May. //
