At the sitting on Thursday 25 April
2013 at 10am Hon Godfrey Thoma was elected Speaker of Parliament.
The House is in recess until Friday 26 April 2013 at 2pm.
The Parliamentary sitting at 10am
on Tuesday 23 April 2013 was, after no nominations for Speaker were
made, adjourned until Thursday 25 April 2013 at 10am. Under
Standing Order 4(a), for the purposes of the election of Speaker,
the Clerk acts as Chair of the House until a Member is elected
to the Office of Speaker.
