The Nauru Police Force exists to deliver SAFETY, SAFETY, SAFETY
to the people of Nauru. It operates under the command of
Commissioner of Police Iven Frank Notte, responsible to the
Minister of Police and also President of the Republic of Nauru, His
Excellency, Honourable Lionel Rouwen Aingimea MP.
In accordance with the Nauru Police Force Act 1972, the Force
operates to preserve the public peace, prevent and detect offences,
prevent injury to life and property, lawfully apprehend offenders,
regulate and preserve order during processions and assemblies and
more, working together with other agencies and departments to carry
out health, quarantine, immigration and port and maritime
regulations and work alongside the Court system.
Mission Statement: To safeguard the community,
improve Police services, maintain public interest and confidence
and enforce the law without fear or favour.
Vision: To promote integrity, be a professional
and community-oriented law enforcement body and increase Nauru
Police Force's stature in the Pacific region.
